Medicare and Employers: What you need to know

Speaker: Sharon Accardo
Sharon Accardo is a Senior Insurance Advisor and Community Educator with Innovative Insurance Group, LLC. She has been an Advisor since 1994 when she began her career working with individuals, assisting them in finding coverage for themselves and their families, as well as Medicare and group benefits for employers. In 2016 she focused all her expertise solely on Medicare Supplements, Medicare Advantage plans, Prescription Drug Plans and Dual Special Needs Plans. While working with seniors she realized that there was a strong need for education on Medicare. In the last several years she has started working with organizations to hold Medicare 101 seminars for the local communities.
Her educational background includes The American College where she took classes that pertained to the industry, she works in. She received her Registered Employee Benefits Certification back in 2004 and received a certification in Medicare from the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) in 2018.
She has severed on many boards including the local Chamber of Commerce to include Vice President and President. She works with several Libraries, Senior Centers, and Senior Living communities to share her education on Medicare.
When not working she enjoys working on projects at home, camping and hanging out with her family. She resides in Rhoadesville, VA with her husband, 4 children, a dog and 3 cats.
