This presentation is an interactive opportunity for local HR professionals to learn more about what engaged employees can do for the adoption of socially responsible practices.  The purpose of this presentation is to present results based on a survey conducted by the presenter.  This survey comes from a combination of SHRM employee engagement markers and corporate social responsibility survey questions.  Based on this survey and research, more socially responsible companies attract more engaged, highly desirable employees from a variety of backgrounds.  By putting this information in a local context (only Roanoke-area businesses were surveyed, interested parties will be provided with what they need to get started creating a more engaged, socially responsible workforce).
