    Outstanding Keynote Speakers: Art Jackson and Sara Christiansen!

    Art Jackson is a professional speaker, executive coach and the President of Eagles Nest Performance Management, Inc. He is a recognized expert in the areas of leadership, performance improvement and interpersonal skills. Art is the originator of the Purpose Centered Leadership™ system that has been used to improve performance in many facets of public and private life.

    Art is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Management.  Art is currently an adjunct professor at the USDA Graduate School; Conducts strategic planning for the Department of Homeland Security; and presents leadership training for members of the US Central Intelligence Agency

    He is author of the diversity and inclusion book "Lions and Tigers and Bears - Oh My" and is completing a second book entitled "Hangin' Round The Barrell - How To Get Paid Everything You're Worth and Be Worth Everything You're Paid."

    Sara Christiansen - During her 20 year career as a Social Scientist, Sara has had the privilege to work with very diverse companies in many varying industries in the private and public sectors, and has vast experience working with professionals at all levels in an organization. Whether delivering a formal presentation to a room full  of executives, or providing one-on-one guidance to a new employee, Sara’s passionate style allows her to connect with all audiences in a way that energizes individuals to perform at a higher level.

    As the CEO at Ideation Consulting, Sara is responsible for providing customized human resource services that drive true business results. She has developed organizational development, talent development, and customized training solutions that have improved employee engagement and performance in many organizations.

    Recently Sara has been commissioned by many SHRM chapters to facilitate Human Resource Development seminars. The feedback for these sessions has been overwhelmingly positive and Sara has been invited by many of the chapters-and member companies-to come back and present at future seminars.

    Andrew Schwartz is the Virginia Values Veterans (V3) Manager for the Commonwealth of Virginia's Department of Veterans Services. The V3 Program serves employers throughout the Commonwealth by educating and training employers on the value of hiring Veterans.

    Andrew served 12 years on active duty in the United States Marine Corps, with tours in combat and humanitarian efforts. As one who has realized first-hand the challenge transitioning service members face, and as one who successfully navigated those waters, Andrew was hired by the Commonwealth as the Transition Assistance Program Coordinator to design and implement an innovative state-level program to assist veterans, active duty service members, serving members of the National Guard and reserve components, and military spouses, during and after their transition from the military lifestyle into the civilian labor market. As the V3 Program Manager, Andrew has expanded those efforts to manage the employer training and certification to over 200 companies in Virginia, who have pledged to hire over 5,800 Veterans.

    Andrew has called Virginia home since his final tour of duty in Norfolk beginning in 2006, and is a Summa Cum Laude and distinguished graduate of Old Dominion University. He, his wife, and three children currently live in South Chesterfield, VA.
