    TOPIC:  Embezzlement and Other Things That Go Bump in the Night... and How to Sleep Like a Baby!

    This program will provide insight into:

    1. the characteristics of the common embezzler,
    2. the three key things that allow a fraud to occur, and
    3. the ways to keep your company from becoming the next embezzlement headline.

    Speaker's Bio:

    Susan Culbertson is a CPA who, for more than 20 years, has owned Controllers, Etc., your resource for all things related to Internal Corporate Accounting.  Her short-term Accounting services to both for-profits and non-profits include:

    • vacancy coverage,
    • project assistance,
    • forensic services,
    • review of your internal controls,
    • and much more. 

    For attorneys, Susan also provides limited forensic services.  She is the past National Director and Regional Vice-President of the Institute of Management Accountants (formerly known as the National Association of Accountants) and is a writer for business publications covering accounting and business management topics.

    Monthly Meetings are generally held the fourth Tuesday of the month.  We have both breakfast and lunch meetings during the year.  Please click on the specific meeting you are interested in for meeting times and location.

    CANCELLATION POLICY:

    Registration for Monthly Meetings will close at noon the day before the meeting.  Due to the costs involved with securing adequate meeting space and meals, refunds will not be granted if cancellation is not received at least 24 hours in advance. Send all cancellation notices via e-mail to rkevalshrm@gmail.com. Substitutions are allowed, however the non-member rate may apply.  If we do not receive a cancellation notice more than 24 hours before the event, you will be required to pay for the event, even if you are unable to attend.

    Members and guests who are unable to register in advance are invited to attend as a walk in and pay onsite.  We usually have a few extra seats to accommodate onsite registrations, but seating is not guaranteed and preregistration is encouraged.
