Attend one of the Preconference Certification Prep, Cram for Exam sessions on Sunday, March 12th from 9:00 am – 4:30 pm before the VASHRM 2017 State Conference begins. If you are anxious about passing, then come to this full-day, action-packed review session to further prepare yourself.
The fee for either session is $349 and includes session materials and lunch for each participant. Select HRCI-PHR/SPHR or SHRM CP/CSP when registering (includes lunch, snack and beverages).
HRCI Cram for Exam
Presenter, Ken De Feo. If you’ve already studied until you feel you can’t learn any more, then this cram session will give you the confidence and the test-taking secrets to ensure you are as well-prepared as possible to make the grade! This HRCI based, Cram for Exam session is a fast-paced, hard-core, PHR/SPHR exam prep review and will include handouts for later independent review and study. The first 5+ hours will consist of a hard-hitting review with the last portion open for Q&A to help drive home understanding on troublesome topics. This class is ideal for those who have self-studied to prepare, or who have taken a preparation course and want the added advantage of a structured review that covers the must-know topics you will find on the PHR and SPHR exam.
SHRM Cram for Exam
Presenter, Franz Gilbert. This SHRM based, Cram for Exam session is a fast-paced, hard-hitting review SHRM BoCK™ to prepare you for the SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP certification exam. The session includes handouts for later independent review and study. The session will cover the SHRM four knowledge domains: People, Organization, Workplace and Strategy as well as eight behavioral competencies; Leadership & Navigation, Ethical Practice, Business Acumen, Relationship Management, Consultation, Critical Evaluation, Global & Cultural Effectiveness, and Communication. This session is designed to help prepare those who are going to take the test, or want to get an overview of the material being tested on.
SHRM spent three years developing a new competency model and this led to two new SHRM certifications, the SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP. These new certifications recognize that HR professionals are at the core of leading organizational success.
