Lindsey A. Coley, Esq.
Coley Law Firm
Lindsey A. Coley was a partner with a large law firm in Roanoke before opening her own law practice at Smith Mountain Lake in 2018. In 2017, Lindsey was named to Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s “Up & Coming Lawyer” list, a distinction awarded to only fifteen attorneys across the Commonwealth of Virginia. She was voted “Young Lawyer of the Year” for 2018 by the Roanoke Bar Association. Lindsey has also been recognized as a Virginia Rising Star for eight years (2011-2018) by Virginia Super Lawyer.
Lindsey serves as outside general counsel to local small businesses, and she frequently lectures on how companies can comply with employment laws. She regularly advises clients on issues such as overtime, leaves of absence, affirmative action compliance and termination of employees. Lindsey also drafts employment contracts, non-compete agreements, employee handbooks and severance agreements.
In addition to corporate and employment matters, Lindsey’s practice also focuses on wills, trusts and probate matters, as well as representing executors, administrators and trustees regarding the administration of trusts and estates.

She also serves on the Board of Directors for Roanoke Valley Society for Human Resource Management (RVSHRM) and Lake Christian Ministries.
