Principles of Professionalism
Learn how to take your professionalism to the next level. This program addresses eye contact, posture, making an entrance, working a room, handshakes, introducing yourself, introducing others, social anxiety, small talk, business card protocol, gender issues and more!
Additionally, RVSHRM will be providing attendees a complimentary copy of Kathleen’s book Etiquette Still Matters.

About Our Speaker:
Kathleen Harvey Harshberger
Ms. Harshberger is a graduate of Radford University and of the highly acclaimed and respected Protocol School of Washington®. She is a Certified Consultant and Trainer on Business Etiquette, Dining Skills, and International Protocol. She holds a separate certification from that school as a Protocol Officer, which is a trusted advisor and leader in planning and orchestrating VIP visits, ceremonies, meetings and special events. She is a Rotarian and is Past President of the Radford Noon Rotary Club. She has lent both her planning and training skills to Rotary International. She is a published author and columnist, writing on etiquette and protocol topics. She is the author of the widely acclaimed book, Etiquette Still Matters, which is available on Amazon’s website. Delegates to her seminars and training Institutes usually receive a signed copy of her book.
Kathleen’s clients have included: The Virginia Tech Transportation Construction Management Institute; Keystone Foods (An International company supplying food to all McDonald’s restaurants world-wide); Isik University, Istanbul, Turkey; U. S. Department of Food and Drug Administration; Radford University (University Protocol Officer); Virginia Tech President’s Office; President, VT Corporate Research Center; Infinity Global (an International Packaging Company); Beverly Hills Country Club; Virginia Tech German Club; International Association of Administrative Professionals; American Professional Women’s Association, and others. She was invited to Turkey, to conduct seminars for ARKAS Holding, an international shipping company based in Istanbul and Izmir, where she trained their top-level executives.
Kathleen is also a playwright. Her latest play, Walk To Freedom: The Mary Draper Ingles Story, co-authored with Wesley A. Young, was successfully performed for three Summer seasons, prior to the Pandemic.
