Through engaging exercises and social learning, this one-day workshop is designed to illuminate the differences between standard thinking patterns and critical thinking patterns, introduce meta-cognition, impart knowledge and competencies for interpretations, analysis and synthesis, test judgements, improve problem-solving abilities, and explain findings. Tools introduced include future wheels and mind maps. Models of fallacy will also be overviewed, and activities will include performing critical assessments, case study analysis, forming evaluations and presentation of findings, and peer-to-peer feedback.
