    The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management.  The Society was founded in 1946 and serves the needs of HR professionals and advances the interests of the HR profession.  The website www.shrm.org has information regarding HR Disciplines, legal issues, templates and tools, research, education, conferences, publications, committees and advocacy information.  SHRM members have access to numerous informational topics on the website as well as access to HR advisors.

    The HR Certification Institute was established in 1976 and is an internationally recognized certifying organization for the human resource profession.   The HR Certification Institute has a multitude of information on its website at www.hrci.org  regarding various HR certifications, eligibility criteria and recertification requirements.   Nearly any question you have regarding certification or recertification can be answered by navigating this user-friendly website!
