Website Guide

    Your chapter has chosen to participate in the SHRM Affiliate Website Program. 

    The program includes the following:

    • Use of the SHRM Affiliate Content Management Software (SHRM Affiliate CMS)
    • Hosting your website on SHRM servers
    • The SHRM Affiliate CMS has a built-in Training Center providing 24/7 access to written documentation and downloadable guides that provide you with training
    • Technical Support, available Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm ET
    Please make sure you review the information contained on this page before beginning work on your site and share a link to this page with all website administrators that are added by the chapter.

    Special Note: In order for an admin to access this page after signing into the site, they must have the Role of both Chapter Admin and Board Member assigned to their record.


    Website Administrator Guide

    This guide should be read as a first step to introduce the site and functionality for all new administrators. 


    Help & Training Center 

    You have access to the Training Center via the Admin Quick Links Toolbar that you will see at the top of the page.  The Training Center provides 24/7 access to training videos, written documentation & downloadable guides that you will use to learn how to manage the website.


    Website Address

    The address is managed and provided to your chapter by SHRM and is a sub-domain of SHRM.org.  The full website address is:  https://rvshrm.shrm.org/

    **Special Note: There is no "www" in the website address


    SHRM Affiliate Program Agreement

    The chapter submitted the SHRM Affiliate Agreement to participate in the program. Below are links to view the full agreement as well as a copy of the agreement submission signed by Tracy Hale, Chapter President, dated 2/13/2012.

    **Special Note: Should the chapter decide in the future that you no longer wish to participate in the program and have a SHRM hosted website, it is required that you submit the Agreement Termination Request Form


    Training and Support Guidelines

    The guidelines were created to share the training, service and support that SHRM will provide to the chapter while participating in the SHRM Hosted Web Site Program.  If you would like to schedule a phone meeting to discuss the website, have questions or need support, please submit the required Support Request as outlined in the guidelines.


    Chapter Settings

    Manage the chapter title, site slogan, emails, chapter number and contact information.


    Site Styling

    Manage the logo and website color theme.


    File Browser

    Access the files on your site: Word, PDF, Excel, PowerPoint and Images as well as SHRM Dual Membership images.


    Dual Membership Import Instructions

    These instructions provide you with the steps to add new members to the database using the daily Transaction report you receive from SHRM and the User Import tool in the software.


    Password Policy Requirements

    All administrators and your members must follow these requirements to keep the website safe and secure.


    SHRM Affiliate Program Announcements

    Emails from SHRM: When SHRM needs to share important information such as software educational material, software upgrades, website down-time, etc., we will send a direct email.  To send the email to the individuals that are managing the website, we generate a report of everyone in your chapter/council website database with the Role of Administrator. So, please make sure that the email address in your chapter/council website record is accurate for yourself as well as all administrators. 

    News:  We have a News area within the Service Desk Website that we post news articles and announcements.  You can find it by visiting the Service Desk Website and the News link is located in the left-hand side menu.
