The Virginia Recreation and Park Society is looking for professionals in the area who may be interested in speaking on various topics at the conference.
At past conferences, different topics have included Volunteer Management, Ethics, Team Building, Leadership Development, Performance Management, Coaching/Counseling, Importance of Proper Documentation, and so on. Speakers can choose between a 1 hour 15 minute session or a 2.5 hour session, and can submit as many topics as they'd like to speak on. Once proposal forms are submitted and accepted, the Education Committee would then be in touch via email to set up the date, time and location of the scheduled presentation.
Unfortunately, speakers are not compensated. However, this is a great resume builder and a wonderful opportunity for professionals to showcase their knowledge and expertise in various fields. If you or anyone within the Roanoke Valley SHRM are interested in participating or would like further information, please let me know as soon as possible! The deadline for speaker submission is May 1, 2016.
